Doing the Will of the Father: Matthew 7:21

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 7:21 emphasizes the significance of obedience to God’s commands beyond mere professed faith. Jesus clarifies that not everyone calls on the Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. Instead, it is the one who diligently follows the will of the Father in heaven.

This verse underscores the crucial role of obedience in the Kingdom. A life aligned with God’s desires and a genuine commitment to His guidance are essential characteristics of those who belong to the Kingdom.
